A couple who experienced one or more miscarriages usually are devastated by the fact that they don’t know what and why it happened. They search for answers on whether it was their fault by something they did or could they have done something to prevent it. Sometimes not even the best doctor can give you a valid explanation on why it happened, but there are basically three categories in the loss of a child, each with their own probable causes.
· A widely recognized explanation in the medical community for single miscarriages is because of the chromosomal abnormalities in the development of the baby.
· Recurrent miscarriages could have various causes and is a very controversial talked about topic in the medical circles, where some doctors believe in treating you and others not. However, some of the most accepted miscarriage courses here are due to problems with the structure of your uterus, blood clotting disorders or certain chromosomal conditions.
· The causes of stillbirths (death after the 20th week) are usually the result of cervical insufficiency, problems in the placenta, and due to very early preterm labour caused by underlying medical conditions in the mother.
Miscarriage causes are not necessary there to give you closure, but so you know that it wasn’t you fault. If you have any questions or need to talk to someone contact us at Pregassist.
