Smoking can make your child infertile

Friday, June 12th, 2009

It is a well published fact that smoking affects fertility negatively, but researchers have now also discovered that smoking before conception and after pregnancy can lead to infertile children. Not only does smoking increase the risk of stillbirth and premature birth, but it can also increase the chances of crib death. The scientists have done studies with results indicating that smoking mothers place their unborn child or children at risk of infertility. Apparently some toxins to be found in cigarettes are the culprits. The toxins known as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in short PAHs were injected into mice before pregnancy and during the lactating phase. A second group of mice were not exposed to the toxins at all whilst a third group were exposed to the toxins during the lactating phase only. The first group of mice with the most exposure had apparent healthy offspring, but their female offspring did not have enough follicles needed for the production of the required number of eggs. The two other groups had normal offspring. Smoking can thus bring about infertile female offspring.

Monday, June 1st, 2009

Zinc is one mineral that is important for fertility in the male and the female. The PregAssist supplement for Men and Women thus include the right amount of Zinc elemental to address any deficiencies that may occur in the body. Deficiencies in Zinc in the male lead to low sperm production, motility, and count. It can also lead to poor testicle health and low testosterone metabolism. Zinc for fertility is included in the female supplement to help address ovulation problems. Apart from Zinc we also include Vitamin B12 to help reduce the chances of miscarriage. Invest in a quality supplement that includes just the correct amount of Zinc for fertility in combination with other vitamins, minerals and herbs which promote healthy reproductive systems.

Why do we include Chaste Berry Powder Extract for fertility in our PregAssist for Women Supplement?

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

Chaste Berry Powder holds several benefits for fertility. It aids in the activation of the pituitary gland to bring ovulation on. Chaste Berry Powder also plays an essential role in progesterone production. It doesn’t contain any hormones, yet it is highly effective for the reduction of prolactin. By doing so it helps to reduce tenderness of the breasts which often occurs when a person suffers from PMS. It furthermore helps to reduce bloating which often occurs just before menstruation. Females having trouble with endometriosis also experience pain relief through the usage of Chaste Berry Powder. Another reason for including it in our fertility supplement for females is because it contains powerful anti-oxidants which also help to stabilize unpaired oxygen molecules.
