Pregnancy usually occurs when intercourse occurred within the 6 or so days prior to ovulation and sex after the day of ovulation does not result in pregnancy. Getting pregnant is not as easy as you may have thought. Ovulation has to take place and the sperm has to be present in the fallopian tubes and both the egg and sperm have to be in good shape for the sperm to fertilize the egg. Being infertile can be stressful, but don’t turn to smoking or alcohol to help you cope with stress.

Fertility and conception go hand in hand. The best time for you to get pregnant is during your ovulation, which is on average approximately 9 days of your menstrual cycle. Actual fertilization occurs when the sperm then penetrates the egg that has been lodged in the woman’s fallopian tubes. The fertilized egg then travels all the way up to your uterus and implants itself in the uterine lining. At this point the egg and the developing placenta start releasing hCG which will then help facilitate the production of progesterone. This is essential for a fertile and hospitable environment for the implanted egg. Fertility conception has been reached once the egg is in this position.
The process of fertility conception can be a complicated process, anything can go wrong at any one of those stages, and so for more information on how to get pregnant or when you notice you might be having problems, contact us at Pregassist for experienced advice.

People often think of miscarriages as a single term while there are various types of miscarriages. Threatened miscarriages for instance, occur when there is bleeding, vaginal pain, and the cervix closes. This is not to say that you will lose your baby, but you will need to get to the doctor immediately where corrective steps will be taken to prevent a complete miscarriage. Incomplete miscarriages occur when the body performs a spontaneous abortion. Unfortunately it is not reversible and in this instance the doctor will keep you comfortable. Bleeding, clotting, and abdominal pains occur. The cervix is open and the tissue is dispelled. It is important to note that some tissue may be left behind and you should seek medical help to ensure that the womb is clean and that no tissue is retained. The above are just two of the miscarriages that occur. By supplementing with PregAssist before conception you can reduce the chances of miscarriage as the formula contains a unique combination of herbs, minerals, and vitamins, to help reduce the occurrence of miscarriages.

Should you, or shouldn’t you use douching as a means of ensuring a clean vagina? With ads stating that you need regular douching you may feel tempted to do so. Beware though – douching can introduce harmful bacteria, reduces the vaginal fluids, and thus makes penetration and successful conception more difficult. Douching has been linked to several medical conditions and should thus be avoided unless you have an infection requiring douching. Under such circumstances the doctor will prescribe the correct douching and monitor the situation. If you are douching regularly – it is time to stop if you want to become pregnant. Your vagina is self cleaning and as such needs no additional help except for cases where infection has occurred.

If you plan a pregnancy it is important to monitor the menstrual cycle for conception. You need to make note of any irregularities in the menstrual cycle. Monitor the mucus colour changes as well to get an idea when ovulation takes place and thus when the best time for conception is. Monitor the body basal temperature for rises indicating more fertility at specific times. Changes in the cervix position will also be indicative of peak fertility periods. Become aware of even slight changes in the body to ensure that you are aware of when your peak fertility period is. Once you have established it you will increase the chances of successful conception if intercourse takes place.
