Pregnancy usually occurs when intercourse occurred within the 6 or so days prior to ovulation and sex after the day of ovulation does not result in pregnancy. Getting pregnant is not as easy as you may have thought. Ovulation has to take place and the sperm has to be present in the fallopian tubes and both the egg and sperm have to be in good shape for the sperm to fertilize the egg. Being infertile can be stressful, but don’t turn to smoking or alcohol to help you cope with stress.
Many modern women delay the decision to have babies, and when they do decide, they will need some extra help. Pregassist prepares the body for conception because eating the right kinds of food may not be enough, and the selection of minerals and vitamins in Pregassist have been researched and will improve both male and female fertility.

Your immune system consists of an assortment of various cells and tissues that have basically one objective and that is to protect you from invading cells and foreign bacteria. It has the ability to recognize the differences between your body’s own cells and those that are unfamiliar. The lack of a healthy immune system will result in you being more susceptible to illnesses, pain or infection. The one thing that most people are unaware of is that your immune system also plays a major role in your fertility. For your body to effectively prepare for ovulation and implantation it needs to use certain cells from your immune system. Without these healthy cells normal reproduction can be affected and prevent you from falling pregnant. It has been estimated that up to 20% of couples who experience ‘unexplained’ infertility suffer from one or other immune system dysfunction. For additional information on infertility causes contact the experienced team from Pregassist for expert advice.

In-vitro fertilization is an invasive medical procedure, especially at the later stages, and as any other medical procedure it has its ups and downs. Some of the cons includes that it has n high multiple birth rate due to the fact that numerous fertilized eggs are implanted into the woman’s womb to increase the possibility of implantation. Over the years the procedure has enjoyed a high success rate, however not all couples experience this happiness. The cons of the procedure include the disappointment experienced by the couple when the procedure proved to be unsuccessful. The other con which in some cases can be seen as a pro is the possibility of multiple births. Most couples know the risk of multiple births and are content with the possibility of twins or even triplets, but when the woman falls pregnant with more than three babies the risk of death or disability from the baby and mother increases dramatically. Another risk is ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome which in severe cases can cause ovarian rapture. To find out more about all the in-vitro fertilization pros and cons or to be educated in alternative infertility treatments contact us at Pregassist.

If you suffer from heavy menstrual bleeding that is when you bleed more than about 80 ml on day one you need to address your physical health. Get enough rest. If you can, go to bed earlier. Make sure you consume food that can be digested easily and stay away from very hot baths or very cold showers. During this time you should avoid too cold swimming pools. If you can, rather use pads than tampons as tampons have been linked to numerous infertility conditions. If you must use tampons, use them for short periods and select unbleached cotton types. Makes sure you get the required vitamins including Vitamins A, E, B1, selenium, B6 and B12. Don’t do heavy exercises during heavy menstrual bleeding periods. Supplement with PregAssist for Women to help regulate menstrual bleeding and hormones.

It is a well published fact that smoking affects fertility negatively, but researchers have now also discovered that smoking before conception and after pregnancy can lead to infertile children. Not only does smoking increase the risk of stillbirth and premature birth, but it can also increase the chances of crib death. The scientists have done studies with results indicating that smoking mothers place their unborn child or children at risk of infertility. Apparently some toxins to be found in cigarettes are the culprits. The toxins known as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in short PAHs were injected into mice before pregnancy and during the lactating phase. A second group of mice were not exposed to the toxins at all whilst a third group were exposed to the toxins during the lactating phase only. The first group of mice with the most exposure had apparent healthy offspring, but their female offspring did not have enough follicles needed for the production of the required number of eggs. The two other groups had normal offspring. Smoking can thus bring about infertile female offspring.
