You have to understand that your body needs nutritional support, enough rest, and the elimination of harmful substances to ensure pregnancy. If you prepare for a pregnancy you first have to take care of your health. This may mean planning 12 months ahead. If you are using a contraceptive pill you will have to stop immediately. The next step is to change your lifestyle enough to accommodate more rest and relaxation. This applies to both the male and the female. Get rid of toxins such as tobacco, alcohol intake, and reduce the intake of caffeine considerably. Start exercising regularly. Don’t overdo it. You just need to gain a healthy balance. Eat regularly and eat healthy meaning that you should include foods from all the food groups in your diet. Get eight hours sleep a night to fight fatigue and take the PregAssist supplement to help restore the vitamins and minerals levels in your body, to stop cravings, regulate blood sugar levels, menstrual cycles, and hormonal balance. Prepare for a pregnancy by getting the nutritional support you need.

Studies done have shown that moderate intake of caffeine found in chocolates, coffee, and tea will not harm the unborn baby or the pregnancy. It is however, important to limit the intake of caffeine. If you are still trying to conceive, it will be best to cut out caffeine as far as possible. Every type of substance that can cause toxin build-up should be avoided. Sodas are even worse as they contain a lot of sugar in addition to caffeine. During pregnancy you will need to stay hydrated. Caffeine has the effect of leading to urination more often. Bodily fluids are thus lost on a regular basis. Rather replenish with milk, water, and healthy juices to prevent heartburn and other side effects of caffeine intake. Large amounts of caffeine intake during pregnancy can cause lower birth weight as well as increase the risk of miscarriage.

You may have heard people say you must eat enough for both the child and you. Although partly true it is not the entire picture. Pregnancy nutrition should be a priority. You can eat a lot, but get no pregnancy nutrition. It is important to eat healthy, balanced meals which will not harm the unborn baby. Keep away from fatty foods. Junk food has no nutritional value and will just add weight and no substance. The same goes for sugary foods. Steer clear of sodas and caffeine. Increase the intake of fluids such as water, juice, and milk. The fluids will help to improve blood flow and will add pregnancy nutrition. Rather than eating large meals, eat several smaller meals daily. Ensure that you get enough folic acid, calcium, Omega 3 fatty acids, protein, and fiber. Contact a fertility specialist or your doctor before taking any medication or supplements as the correct balance is important.

Just as with male fertility, female fertility declines as women reach a certain age. Researchers have confirmed that female fertility is reduced during the middle thirties. Now, studies also show that regardless of the age of their partner, even if the man is younger, if the woman is over the age of 34 there will be a higher risk of miscarriage. Miscarriage rates are known to be near 40% between the ages of mid-twenties to mid-forties. It has also been shown that the chance of the newborn baby being born with Downs syndrome is significantly higher for females nearer to their forties. For example, women who wait until their mid-thirties risk the chance of their newborn baby being 1 in 400 that are born with the disease. Although the ratio may not seem that high, it is simply not worth the risk of Down syndrome. The biological clock is ticking, but if you have waited until after 34, all is not lost. With excellent medical care and adequate nutrition as well as the correct supplements your chances of successful pregnancy increase.
