Simple as it may seem it is not always that easy to get pregnant. A few tips are shared on how to get pregnant easier. High dosages of Vitamin C are not good for women who want to get pregnant. In fact high dosages of this vitamin will dry up the cervical mucus, making it extremely difficult to get pregnant. You thus need to ensure a stable and balanced diet without going overboard with Vitamin C. We include Vitamin C in the PregAssist for Men supplement because men need more Vitamin C for fertility, whereas women should get just the right amount of Vitamin C to ensure a healthy balance in their bodies. First step to get pregnant, change unhealthy habits and switch to a supplement for women to promote fertility such as PregAssist for Women.

Should you, or shouldn’t you use douching as a means of ensuring a clean vagina? With ads stating that you need regular douching you may feel tempted to do so. Beware though – douching can introduce harmful bacteria, reduces the vaginal fluids, and thus makes penetration and successful conception more difficult. Douching has been linked to several medical conditions and should thus be avoided unless you have an infection requiring douching. Under such circumstances the doctor will prescribe the correct douching and monitor the situation. If you are douching regularly – it is time to stop if you want to become pregnant. Your vagina is self cleaning and as such needs no additional help except for cases where infection has occurred.

The mucus in the female cervix undergoes constant changes. This is a reaction to hormonal changes in the body. You will notice that more mucus is discharged during a specific period of the menstrual cycle. Just after menstruation the mucus will dry up and this will be indicative of the infertility period. As the mucus changes in color and quantity fertility increases again until it becomes stretchy and almost see-through just before ovulation takes place. This is the peak fertility time. Just after ovulation the mucus changes gradually to become thicker. This is still a fertility period which will last for about two to three days although it is not the peak fertility period.
